Holy Redeemer Church

It was built under the British rule, when troops of East India Company were transferred from Karnal to Ambala. Constructed in 1848, the Catholic Church also features two rooms initially made for the troops, which are used as a dispensary and a reading room at present. Ambala has some of the most beautiful and historically significant churches in the entire state of Haryana.

Gurudawara Mamji Sahib

The Manji Sahib Gurdwara is the most popular Sikh shrine of Ambala. It is located at Kaith Majri near National Highway-1. The sixth and tenth Sikh Guru Hargobind Singh and Guru Gobind Singh respectively visited this place. In 1950, the foundation of this gurudawara was laid. There is beautiful meenakari (an art of painting) and chitrakari (an art of figure painting) work in the gurudawara.

European Cemetery

Twenty heroes of the Anglo-Boer war (1899-1902) in South Africa, who were brought as prisoners of war, lie buried at this cemetery after they were executed for waging a war against the British. During the Anglo-Boer war, the British made hundreds of Boers (original Dutch settlers in South Africa) prisoners of war and sent them to India, Sri Lanka and several other colonies.

Chandigarh

The First Planned City Of India. Situated near the Shivalik foothills in northwest India, the Union Territory of Chandigarh is the capital of two Indian cities namely, Punjab and Haryana. Its name is derived from an ancient temple that is located on the site and is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess, Chandi. With its urban design and architecture, Chandigarh is acclaimed worldwide as the first planned city of India.

Kurukshetra - The Land Of Warriors

Kurukshetra means the field of righteousness. It was here in Kurukshetra that the historic battle of Mahabharata between the Pandavas and Kauravas was fought. It was in this town that Lord Krishna sermonised the sacred Bhagavad Gita to Arjun. The sacred text preaches about karma and propounds the paramount principles of the Hindu religion.

Rani Ka Talab- Ambala Cantt

The Rani Ka Talab is a 400 year old secenic and historic pond situated in the Ambala Cantt. It has streched over an area of 4 acres and situated near the Army unit. It is well designed. The Shiv Mandir and Devi Mandir are the two temples that situated near the temple and are the center of attraction for many tourists. This historic place come under the control of Army.
